Swedish “MORKSUGGAN” symbol darkness Dalarna – NEW

“Morksuggan” is mentioned in old folklore description from many parishes in Dalarna e.g. Gagnef, Leksand, Rattvik and Al. Morksuggan is a symbol of the darkness itself. As a souvenir from Dalarna it does not connect to the colored Sunday-splendour. It tries instead to give a concrete form to some of the dark side of life, of the mysticism and the magic which always have fascinated the folk imagination in Dalarna. You put the “Morksuggan” near a table-edge and it is in full balance with its tail and it can rock back and forward. It is made of wood with a metal tail. Size: 3 inches high (excl. tail), tail 5.5 inches long. Condition is new in original box.
